 PARENT’S ROLE

Kids’ Kingdom Family Child Care genuinely encourages you to become a part of our school, to offer your suggestions, your comments and your moral support. Only through open communication will we become the exceptional care you want it to be for your child.

We extend an open invitation for parents and encourage you to drop in for informal visits. We want you to feel confident that Kids’ Kingdom Family Child Care is the best environment for your child(ren). If however, your child has any difficulty separating, we suggest that you plan your together time towards the end of the day.

For the protection of your child, phone calls indicating changes in your child’s daily routine will not be acceptable. Therefore, any changes in pick up, departure time, etc. should be communicated in writing.

PARENT CONFERENCES
We are always available to discuss any concerns or questions you may have. Please make an appointment so that a time may be scheduled accordingly during the children’s rest time or after hours.

PROGRESS REPORTS
Because YOU are your child’s first teacher, it is Kids’ Kingdom’s goal to keep you will informed and included in your child’s growth and development so you’ll be able to continue to implement your life long lesson plan with them. Progress reports will be prepared in accordance with their respective age group:
Children under 1 ½ years old- every 3 months
Children 1 ½- 5 years old- every 6 months

HOME-SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
One of the many benefits of an early learning school is the cooperation between school and home. We are committed to working with parents in our mutual goal of providing a nurturing, stimulating learning environment.

We fulfill our responsibility to communicate closely with parents through:
* Informative memos of what is happening
* Monthly calendars that will highlight the weekly themes, letters, and color of the month, specialties, children’s birthdays, the snack/meal menu, etc.
* Formal progress reports that assess your child’s development.
* Opportunities to discuss your child’s progress and to offer important information to establish effective partnership.

We ask that parents fulfill their responsibility by
* Keeping informed by reading all material sent home.
* Attending scheduled conferences and special events.
* Bringing any concerns or problems to our attention.
* Following school procedures for special requests such as:
-writing a note and placing it in the tuition box.
-documenting your special request in the Parent Log binder
-calling between the hours of 1:00-3:00 p.m. if you have questions, concerns, etc. (This is a quieter time of day that would allow the attention your concerns deserve.)
