ABUSE AND NEGLECT

In the case of abuse and/or neglect of a child in Kid’s Kingdom’s care, in accordance with M.G.L.c.119 section 51A, we are required to be “mandated reporters”. A mandated reporter is defined as a person required to report all suspected cases of abuse or neglect with Massachusetts Department of Social Services. This may include, but is not limited to “…serious physical or emotional injury resulting from abuse inflicted upon the child, including sexual abuse, or from neglect, including malnutrition, no matter where the abuse or neglect may have occurred.” Kids’ Kingdom reserves the right to inform or not inform parents and/or legal guardians that a report has been placed.
